Light works, its just that Class IV laser therapy works faster and deeper which will shorten treatment times for the doctor which is a key benefit and the healing time is faster for the patient making less treatments which means less time and money for the patient. Litecure lasers are considered to be Class IV lasers by the CDRH, that is, providing energy at levels greater than 0.5 Watt. The lasers you use are less than 0.5 Watt, and therefore are considered as Class IIIb lasers. The difference is the amount of energy delivered to the tissue. The actual dosages are very similar, between 4 and 10 J/cm². The difference is that the Litecure lasers deliver between 600 and 900 Joules per minute at the skin surface, the IIIB lasers typically deliver 6 Joules per minute, so the actual dosage is delivered into a very small spot.
