Dr. Brookfield holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa, and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. She is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic and the BC College of Chiropractors. Dr. Brookfield also has post-graduate training in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and certification in Active Release Techniques (ART®), Spidertech Taping and Low Intensity Laser Therapy.
Dr. Brookfield is excited to be in the Chiropractic profession, as it is the fastest growing and 2nd largest primary health care profession that works one-on-one with patients to relieve their pain and increase their quality of life. Her focus is dealing with muscular imbalances and restricted joint motion, which are the primary causes of musculo-skeletal pain.
Dr. Brookfield sees patients of all ages from young children to pregnant women, athletes and the geriatric population. She sees patients with muscular and or joint issues ranging from acute injuries to wellness and preventative care. The patient-focused healthcare services that she provides incorporates postural assessments and ergonomic advice and her main goal is to educate her patients on health issues and body awareness to prevent further injuries.
Chiropractic care is safe and effective for many conditions such as back and neck pain, headaches, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia to name a few, as well as sports injuries and automobile and work injuries.
Dr. Brookfield hopes to alleviate your pains by correcting the musculoskeletal dysfunction and relieving stress on the nervous system to allow the body to heal and function optimally.
